Project Overview
As healthcare institutions continue to accelerate digital transformation, modern hospital operations have become increasingly dependent on information systems. Electronic medical records, medical imaging platforms, laboratory information systems, outpatient management systems, and telemedicine services all require a stable and secure IT environment to ensure uninterrupted operation.
To support the growing demand for healthcare information services, Yushan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Jiangxi Province initiated the upgrade of its data center infrastructure. The objective was to establish a highly reliable, intelligent, and energy-efficient data center capable of supporting critical hospital applications while simplifying daily operation and maintenance.
GOTTOGPOWER provided a complete micro modular data center solution based on the GT-DC8000 platform. The project integrated a GTM300/50 Intelligent Modular UPS System, GT-BA Precision Air Conditioning Units, intelligent power distribution, environmental monitoring systems, and a 65-inch centralized visualization platform into a unified infrastructure architecture.
Following installation, commissioning, and system verification, the project was successfully completed and put into operation.
The Challenge: Supporting Mission-Critical Healthcare Systems
Unlike many commercial environments, hospitals operate around the clock and cannot tolerate interruptions to critical information systems. During the project planning phase, several infrastructure challenges were identified.
The hospital’s information department needed a highly reliable power protection system capable of ensuring continuous operation during utility disturbances or unexpected outages. Even a short interruption could affect patient registration, diagnostic services, medical imaging access, and clinical information systems. The existing equipment room also faced increasing thermal loads due to the expansion of server and storage equipment. Traditional cooling methods were becoming less efficient in maintaining a stable operating environment. In addition, the hospital wanted to improve infrastructure visibility. Previously, engineers had to monitor multiple systems independently, increasing maintenance complexity and reducing operational efficiency.
The project therefore required a solution that could simultaneously improve reliability, simplify management, and support future growth.
Integrated Micro Modular Architecture Improves Infrastructure Reliability
To address these requirements, GOTTOGPOWER deployed the GT-DC8000 Micro Modular Data Center solution. Rather than treating power, cooling, monitoring, and cabinet systems as separate infrastructure components, the GT-DC8000 integrates all critical subsystems into a standardized and intelligent architecture. This approach significantly reduces deployment complexity while improving overall system coordination. The modular design also provides flexibility for future expansion. As the hospital’s digital healthcare services continue to grow, additional IT capacity can be added without major reconstruction of the data center environment. By combining multiple infrastructure systems within a single platform, the hospital gains improved operational consistency and greater control over its critical facilities.
GTM300/50 Intelligent Modular UPS Ensures Continuous Power Availability
Reliable power protection is the foundation of every healthcare data center. To safeguard critical IT equipment, the project deployed the GTM300/50 Intelligent Modular UPS System as the core power protection platform. The modular architecture allows power modules to operate in parallel, providing both redundancy and scalability. This design reduces the risk associated with single points of failure while allowing future capacity expansion without replacing the existing UPS infrastructure.
The online double-conversion technology continuously delivers clean and stable power to connected equipment regardless of fluctuations in utility power quality. In the event of a power failure, the UPS system works seamlessly with the battery backup system to maintain uninterrupted operation of critical healthcare applications, helping prevent data loss and service disruption. For hospitals where information availability directly impacts patient care, this level of power protection is essential.
Precision Cooling Creates a Stable Operating Environment
Modern healthcare applications generate increasing amounts of data, requiring more computing resources and higher rack densities. To maintain optimal operating conditions, the project incorporated GT-BA Series Precision Air Conditioning Units specifically designed for critical IT environments.
Unlike conventional building air conditioning systems, precision cooling technology provides continuous operation and highly accurate temperature management.
The cooling system continuously adjusts its output according to environmental conditions and IT load requirements, helping maintain stable temperatures throughout the data center. This not only improves equipment reliability but also extends the operational lifespan of servers, storage systems, and network infrastructure. By optimizing airflow distribution and cooling efficiency, the hospital is able to maintain a secure environment for critical healthcare applications while reducing unnecessary energy consumption.
Intelligent Monitoring Simplifies Daily Operations
One of the most valuable aspects of the project is the implementation of a comprehensive environmental and power monitoring platform.
The intelligent monitoring system continuously collects and analyzes data from UPS systems, batteries, cooling units, environmental sensors, and power distribution equipment. All operating information is displayed through a centralized management platform and a 65-inch visualization screen installed within the facility. This large-screen monitoring center provides real-time visibility into the health and performance of the entire infrastructure ecosystem. Maintenance personnel can immediately identify abnormal conditions, receive alarm notifications, and respond proactively before issues impact critical services. As a result, the hospital’s IT team no longer needs to manually inspect multiple systems independently, significantly reducing operational workload and improving maintenance efficiency.
Supporting Green and Sustainable Data Center Operations
Energy efficiency has become an increasingly important consideration for healthcare facilities.
The integrated design of the GT-DC8000 platform enables more efficient coordination between power, cooling, and monitoring systems, helping reduce unnecessary energy consumption while maintaining high levels of reliability. Intelligent cooling control, optimized airflow management, and centralized monitoring contribute to improved operational efficiency and lower overall facility costs. This allows the hospital to balance infrastructure reliability with long-term sustainability objectives.
Project Results
Following commissioning and acceptance testing, the micro modular data center entered full operation and now supports the hospital’s critical information systems on a continuous basis.
The project successfully achieved the hospital’s primary objectives of improving infrastructure reliability, enhancing operational visibility, simplifying maintenance procedures, and increasing energy efficiency.
Through intelligent infrastructure management, the complexity of daily data center operations has been significantly reduced, allowing the hospital’s information department to focus more resources on healthcare IT innovation and digital service development rather than routine facility management.
Conclusion
The successful deployment of the GT-DC8000 Micro Modular Data Center at Yushan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital demonstrates how integrated infrastructure solutions can help healthcare organizations build secure, reliable, and future-ready data center environments.
By combining the GTM300/50 Intelligent Modular UPS System, GT-BA Precision Cooling Units, intelligent monitoring technologies, and centralized visualization capabilities, GOTTOGPOWER delivered a comprehensive solution that supports both operational continuity and long-term digital transformation goals.
