In Kyrgyzstan, the rapid expansion of mobile communications and data services has placed increasing demands on the reliability of telecommunications infrastructure. A regional telecommunications operator planned to upgrade its core network data center to support growing traffic volumes, 24/7 operations, and higher service-level requirements. Given the country’s grid instability and the critical nature of telecom services, a highly reliable and scalable power protection solution was essential.

The client identified several key requirements for the new power system:

• Ensure continuous, uninterrupted operation for core network equipment
• Provide N+1 redundancy to eliminate single points of failure
• Allow flexible capacity expansion to accommodate future network growth
• Enable fast maintenance and fault isolation without service interruption
• Maintain stable output power quality under unstable grid conditions

Solution

Gottogpower delivered a 400 kVA modular UPS solution based on a high-density modular architecture. The system was configured with multiple hot-swappable power modules operating in parallel, forming an N+1 redundant design to guarantee maximum availability.

Advanced parallel control and intelligent load-sharing technology ensure that each module operates within its optimal efficiency range, improving overall system performance. The modular structure allows individual modules to be replaced or added online, significantly reducing maintenance time and operational risk. The UPS system also provides excellent input power tolerance, ensuring stable output for sensitive telecom equipment even during frequent grid fluctuations.

Résultat

After deployment, the modular UPS system delivered stable and reliable power to the telecommunications data center, effectively safeguarding core network operations. System availability was significantly enhanced, while maintenance became simpler and faster due to the modular design.

The scalable 400 kVA architecture provides ample room for future expansion, supporting the operator’s long-term network development strategy.
